HEMATOLOGY / ONCOLOGY - HUNTINGTON, WV - MEDICAL CENTER

Our organization is in search of a Hematology/Oncology physician to join our medical team at the Huntington VA Medical Center. We are eager to find a dedicated BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician who holds an unrestricted MD or DO license and is committed to delivering exceptional care to our Veterans.

The Hershel "Woody" Williams Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located in Huntington, West Virginia, is a fully accredited facility with 80 beds dedicated to acute medical and surgical care. We offer a range of primary and specialty health services, including but not limited to radiology, mental health, women's health, prosthetics, bariatric surgery, pain management, palliative care, and sleep medicine.

This physician will be an integral member of the Hematology/Oncology Department within the Medical Service, practicing independently. The physician will possess specialized expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating various Hematology/Oncology conditions.

The field of hematology focuses on blood disorders and coagulation issues, while oncology pertains to the study and treatment of malignancies affecting any organ system. Professionals in this area are responsible for the non-surgical management of a wide array of diseases, including the treatment and prevention of blood disorders and cancers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Performing or assisting in relevant medical procedures.

• Collaborating as part of the Hematology/Oncology medical team at the Hershel "Woody" Williams campus, with occasional visits to community-based outpatient clinics for meetings or training sessions.

• Supervising oncology fellows, providing guidance and support to those in advanced training to become oncologists.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: Base salary ranging from $350,000 to $400,000 , depending on qualifications, along with annual performance bonuses, biennial market adjustments, and annual cost-of-living increases.

• Sign-on Bonus: Available for highly qualified candidates.
