For those seeking dynamic opportunities, rewarding career paths and a chance to make a difference in global health, come grow with August!The Packaging Technician supports visual inspection of products, secondary and tertiary packaging activities for parenteral products at various stages of development at the Nashville, TN site. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the qualification and start-up of a new manufacturing facility for Aseptic Formulation and Filling to establish a state-of-art manufacturing operation. The Packaging Technician is responsible for performing visual inspection and packaging activities in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).ResponsibilitiesVisual inspection of vials, syringes, IV bags and cream containers to identify defectsEnsure packaging operations meet or surpass the site's safety, quality, and compliance metrics while adhering to site standards and policies.Perform set-up and operations of packaging equipment, such as labelers, carton equipment, and serialization stations, and documentation of activities within the batch record or protocols as neededSupports equipment validation, qualification, training, and troubleshootingAssist Maintenance personnel with Preventive Maintenance and Calibration activitiesPerform in process testing, which may include SPC and AQL testingAssist with continuous improvement initiatives, investigations, CAPA actions, etc. for packaging areaFollow relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, etc.Must be able to work overtime when requiredRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, production, or regulated environment is preferredPrevious visual inspection, sterile packaging, clinical trial packaging, or related manufacturing experience is preferredGood documentation and communication skills and strong attention to detailAble to work in a team environmentGood interpersonal skills and self-motivatedStrong learning agilityAbility to work in a fast-paced collaborative environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsShifts1st shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am, Sunday - ThursdayAt August Bioservices, Our Credo is our culture.
