About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified OR RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40201!

• Provide circulating RN coverage across a high-volume OR serving vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gynecology, and carotid/endarterectomy cases
• Perform and manage Foley catheter insertion, chest tube management, and AED use as part of intraoperative care
• Operate and assist with unit-specific equipment including Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretcher, and Da Vinci D5 robotic system
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR; utilize Plum ICU Medical IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Participate in on-call rotation with a 40-minute response time requirement
• Float within the OR department to relieve colleagues during lunch breaks as needed

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Proficient circulating RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

• Experience with Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical systems (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, neuro, thoracic, and transplant
• Previous experience with Cerner EMR in a perioperative setting

• Work in a well-supported OR environment with dedicated management and a consistent 1 RN and 1 Tech per case staffing model
