Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Budget Analyst to lead and support college-wide budgeting, financial planning, and analysis efforts. The Budget Analyst is responsible for developing and managing the institution's annual operating budget by working closely with departments across campus.
The Budget Analyst plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency, including assisting with the preparation of the college's legal budget and coordination with external agencies. This position also contributes to strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis for programs and projects, helping leadership understand the financial impact of institutional initiatives. In addition to core budgeting functions, this role supports administrative priorities such as developing tuition and fee recommendations, implementing financial controls, and managing auxiliary budgets-including student housing, food service, and bookstore operations. The Budget Analyst also collaborates on special projects, chairs budget committees, and partners with departments to deliver meaningful financial insights.
