Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Day ShiftThe Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists directly and indirectly in the delivery of physical therapy services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities as outlined by the treatment plan and in accordance with state practice guidelines. The PTA embraces the core values of the organization, delivering superior quality in all that is done while treating others with respect and achieving the objectives set forth.ResponsibilitiesImplement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.Assist the Physical Therapist in therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, and functional skills training.Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques.Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress weekly.Maintain a clean treatment area and ensure equipment is used safely and reported when malfunctioning.Educate patients and families on good body mechanics and safe mobility practices.Establish and maintain professional working relationships with patients and staff.Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.Attend continuing education to maintain and enhance professional standards.Comply with all safety and infection control guidelines.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureValid state PTA license required.BLS certification required.2 years of experience preferred.ScheduleThis position operates on a Day Shift schedule of 5 days per week, 8 hours each day.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
