About the Role:
Chesapeake Express Transportation Inc is looking for a reliable, motivated, and highly organized Administrative Professional to help oversee the day-to-day administrative operations for MULTIPLE companies.
This is a busy, fast-paced position that requires someone who can multitask, prioritize, problem-solve, and stay organized while handling several responsibilities at the same time.  We need someone who is comfortable taking initiative and doesn't need to be reminded of every task that needs to be completed.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Managing daily office operations for multiple companies
• Answering and directing phone calls
• Responding to emails and communicating with customers/vendors
• Scheduling and maintaining calendars
• Organizing paperwork, records, and company files
• Data entry and maintaining spreadsheets
• Preparing letters, documents, reports, and forms
• Invoicing and basic bookkeeping
• Accounts payable/accounts receivable assistance
• Payroll assistance and employee paperwork
• Maintaining employee records
• Tracking bills, invoices, payments, and expenses
• Filing and record keeping
• Ordering and maintaining office supplies
• Following up on outstanding paperwork and accounts
• Communicating with management and employees
• Handling confidential company and employee information
• Helping keep multiple businesses organized and on schedule
• Assisting management with additional administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in an administrative management or general manager role
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities effectively
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional and trustworthy
• Someone who takes pride in keeping an office organized and running smoothly
• Knowledge of DOT regulations or transportation compliance is a plus
• Previous administrative assistant experience preferred
• Position requires flexibility
• Must be available some weekends and holidays when needed
