Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Endless Mountains Health Systems is seeking a travel registered nurse (RN) to join its seven-bed emergency department. This is a non-trauma, critical access hospital serving patients across the lifespan. This facility is open to first-time travelers with at least one year of experience.

Location: Montrose, PA

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: March 23, 2026

Shift: Nights

Schedule: *3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) *Opportunity for 4x12-hour night shifts, as scheduling permits *Weekends and holidays required *Orientation will take place during the first week (week of 3/23). The RN will transition to independent practice beginning 3/29.

Unit Details

• Beds/Rooms: 7
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Setting: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi)
• Hospital Type: Critical Access / Small Hospital
• Common Diagnoses: Non-trauma emergency presentations, patients of all acuity levels (including high-acuity walk-ins)
• Floating: Occasional float to Med-Surg may be required

Required Skills & Competencies

• Triage
• Cardiac monitoring
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Emergency response and code management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy (starting IVs)
• Medication administration
• Perform EKGs
• Documentation of defibrillation and dextrose administration
• Holter monitor application
• Experience with ventilated patients (preferred)

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

• PA RN License (active and in good standing)
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Unit Systems

• Medication System: Omnicell
• Documentation: Meditech
• Communication: SBAR

Dress Code

Scrubs: Any color except camouflage or denim
