Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description: The Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit. The RN will work in a newly constructed unit with advanced monitoring capabilities, supporting a patient ratio of 1:5-6.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and vitals.
• Provide care for patients with common medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and chronic respiratory illnesses.
• Administer medications and manage treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and health maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records using Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a compact license.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is necessary.
