Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments, initiating diagnostic protocols, and creating personalized treatment strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions, collaborating with peers or independently depending on credentials
• Instructing patients and their families about wellness, prevention, and health management
• Prescribing medication and treatment options within legal guidelines

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or another recognized specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (must be obtained within 90 days if not current)
