Head of Global Credit Reserves - Finance Chief Risk Office

• Lead a global team of 20 to 30 risk professionals overseeing CECL and IFRS 9 expected credit losses
• Direct calculation of firmwide credit reserves according to CECL and IFRS 9 regulations and standards
• Own end-to-end CECL and IFRS 9 credit reserve frameworks, documentation, policies, procedures, governance, reporting, and analytics
• Review macroeconomic scenarios, prescribe alternative scenario requirements, and determine scenario weights
• Review and challenge quarterly reserve results, including qualitative management adjustments
• Prepare consolidated reserve recommendations, messaging, analytics, and information for senior management, including the CFO and CRO
• Present reserve recommendations at quarterly Citi Reserve Adequacy Committee meetings
• Act as Secretary of Reserve Adequacy Committee meetings and ensure required approvals and governance compliance
• Coordinate Risk, Finance, and Investor Relations workstreams for earnings presentations and financial filings
• Provide quarterly credit reserve updates for Citigroup and CBNA Risk memos and Board materials
• Lead regulatory, internal, and external audit interactions related to credit reserving
• Own Tier 1 regulatory responsibilities associated with SR 20-12
• Review modeled results, model changes, testing, and limitations with model developers, sponsors, and validation groups
• Embed a strong risk culture and promote accountability, challenge, risk management, and governance
• Manage staff, including resource planning, talent development, performance management, engagement, and location strategy
• Establish and maintain global controls and lead issue remediation when necessary

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience working in financial institutions
• BA or BS degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent
• Advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred
• Detailed knowledge of CECL / IFRS 9 requirements
• Direct experience managing a CECL reserving process
• Strong analytical skills, including credit and modeling experience with both Retail and Wholesale portfolios
• Experience leading an integrated, cross-departmental process in a large-scale organization
• Ability to influence senior business leaders, the Board, and external stakeholders on risk-related matters
• Ability to provide critical thinking, independent challenge, and decisive action
• Ability to negotiate, partner and collaborate through conflicting demands
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentational skills with attention to detail
• Extensive experience dealing with senior management committees and board risk management committees
