Position Summary

As the Learning Systems Development Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day administration for learning delivery platforms including maintenance, support and enhancements. The ideal candidate would draw upon their experience and expertise to oversee the delivery of technical projects, coordinate with third-party vendors, and develop new solutions. This role will report to the Director, Learning Delivery Systems.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. While this position can be done remotely from anywhere in the US, you must primarily work our core business hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration (50%)

• Maintain dedicated role as system administrator for the MHFA learning system platforms.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of e-learning systems and tools.
• Manage day-to day operations, configuration, and troubleshooting issues for learning system platforms.
• Ensure all MHFA Delivery Systems platforms and tools are accessible to all audiences and meet WCAG/Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Train staff on use of Delivery Systems related products.
• Provide backup for Tier III technical support for Delivery Systems team.

Technical Project Management (50%)

• Collaboratively manage and monitor the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including the design, implementation, user acceptance testing (UAT), security testing and code reviews.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor progress deliverables.
• Gather user stories, use cases and specification for development resources.
• Coordinate with UX designers to develop interfaces and prototypes.
• Coordinate and respond to external stakeholder requests for project reviews, product development, and collaborations.
• Communicate effectively to many internal stakeholders and teams.
• Collaborate on other projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience working with technical teams
• 1-3 years of professional experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.
• Strong technical understanding of SCORM, AICC, cmi5 and xAPI standards.
• Hands-on experience with Systems Administration
• Hands-on experience with Javascript, JSON/XML, HTML5, NodeJS, Postgres, MySQL.
• Experience administering AWS including Storage and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities on deadline.
• Strengths in writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of client-ready materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with Linux, containerization, Kubernetes, Git.
