Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN - MICU (655) - Wesley Medical Center - 7P - 7A is a registered nursing role providing critical care in a Medical ICU setting. The RN will deliver advanced bedside care, support hemodynamic and airway management, and collaborate with an experienced critical care team to ensure safe, high-acuity patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and triage critically ill patients using continuous hemodynamic and respiratory evaluation.
• Manage and document patient care using EMR systems and unit documentation standards (Meditech/CPN preferred).
• Perform and support airway management, moderate sedation, and related critical care interventions.
• Coordinate CRRT setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting while maintaining patient safety and treatment accuracy.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with evidence-based ICU protocols and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with charge RN, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to escalate changes promptly.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for practice.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU RN hospital experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with NIHSS (preferred).
• Have prior Meditech experience (preferred).
• Demonstrate competency with CRRT and Sono IV/ultrasound IV placement (preferred).
