Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join an apartment community in Macon, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general apartment maintenance.

The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced multifamily environment, responding to resident service requests, and ensuring apartments and community facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in apartment units and common areas.
• Perform routine HVAC inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and repair issues involving air conditioning, heating systems, thermostats, and related components.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete apartment make-readies, including HVAC inspections and necessary repairs.
• Perform general apartment maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, appliance troubleshooting, and other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and repairs.
• Follow all safety procedures and applicable HVAC regulations.
• Assist with maintaining the property's overall appearance, safety, and functionality.
• Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, and residents.

Requirements

• Previous HVAC maintenance experience required.
• Apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair residential HVAC systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification required or preferred, depending on property requirements.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and apartment make-readies.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and HVAC diagnostic equipment safely.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties as needed.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
