Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion.\n Education Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.\n Preferred - Bachelor s degree in nursing.\n Experience Required - 2 years\n Certifications Required -\n Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.\n Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\n Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.\n Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).\n Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).\n Preferred -Certification in clinical specialty area.\n KSAs\n Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.\n Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.\n Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed.\n Ability to demonstrate good judgement.\n Good interpersonal skills\n Job Duties\n Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.\n Assesses learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.\n Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.\n Utilizes data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.\n Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.\n Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.\n Performs other related duties as required.\n The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.\n Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
