Join a leading healthcare provider as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-Ray in Pittsfield, MA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Definition/Primary Function: Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.

Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required.

Requirements: Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography. Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD/DURING INTERVIEW WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Travelers may not take all holidays off. MUST work TWO blocks (if scheduled/needed): Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after New Year Eve through New Year Day.

Travelers should ensure that they can be reached and have voicemail set up on their phones. Travelers without voicemail set up when a facility reaches out will be redirected. Please do not upload a traveler to this assignment who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment.

Note: 8 hours of non-billable orientation are required. Holiday and OT Multipliers: 1.25%.
