Job Description
Surf City Pet Hospital is looking for a Full time Veterinarian to work at a well-established privately owned practice that has been serving its community since May of 2002. In 2020 we moved into a new facility with up to date cutting edge equipment. SCPH is looking for a motivated, organized, personable associate to add to our 3-doctor practice. New Graduates welcome.
Salary and benefits negotiable - depending on experience and benefits.
Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities:
Examining pets to diagnose various illnesses, diseases, and injuries.
Treating pets by prescribing appropriate medications, cleaning, dressing wounds, performing other medical procedures.
Collecting samples of pets' blood, urine, and feces as required.
Operating radiographic and ultrasound equipment to conduct further diagnostic testing.
Euthanizing pets in cases where medical treatment is, or would be, ineffective.
Advising pet owners on proper aftercare following medical procedures.
Updating pet records following each treatment and medical procedure.
Surf City Pet Hospital is located 5 minutes from Topsail Islands beautiful beaches, Soundside Park offering a playground, boat launch & fishing pier, plus picnic shelters & viewing decks, lots of restaurants serving great local seafood.
