Technical Writer

OMNI is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support documentation and publication needs for government programs. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing a variety of technical and administrative documents, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and tailored to the intended audience. This role requires close collaboration with supervisors, program/project managers, and customers to refine requirements and deliver high-quality documentation.

Key responsibilities include developing, writing, and editing technical materials including reports, manuals, briefs, technical specifications, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications. The Technical Writer will produce documentation covering work methods, procedures, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of equipment and systems. They will draft a variety of technical articles, brochures, and manuals for multiple uses, coordinate document design and graphics production with the customer, proof, standardize, and edit documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with style guidelines, create and format executive-level presentations, and develop and update content for brochures, briefings, technical papers, and organizational websites.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, with at least 4 years of technical writing experience for the Federal Government.
• Education may be waived with 8 or more years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Minimum 4 years of demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and set expectations effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
