Description We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts beginning September 2026. This assignment is based in a critical access emergency department serving patients of all ages, including a 14% pediatric population. Providers with prior experience in rural, community, or critical access settings are highly valued. This is a 3-month assignment with approximately 10–13 shifts per month, primarily evening and overnight coverage. About the facility This is a 25-bed critical access hospital utilizing EPIC EMR. The emergency department sees approximately 20–24 patients daily, averaging 2.5–3 patients per hour. Providers work with limited onsite specialty support and are expected to manage a broad range of emergency presentations across all age groups. Hospital-provided housing is available, and ferry transportation is covered for travel. Compensation: Pay Rate: Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.
