At Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, you'll find the clinical complexity of a teaching hospital with over 800 beds, the resources of a major health system, a broad surgical footprint, advanced specialty care and significant investment in the future of healthcare — all in Wilmington, NC.What You'll DoDeliver safe and effective anesthesia care to pediatrics through geriatric populationsAdminister anesthetics for a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical proceduresMonitor patients throughout anesthesia and recoveryCollaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teamsAdjust anesthetic plans as needed based on changing patient statusPractice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges.What We're Looking ForEducation: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA. Required.Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required. NBCRNA certification, ACLS certification, BLS certification and PALS certification within NH policy, required.Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age. Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
