Transfer Center Nurse - Nights

Schedule Full‑time nights or part‑time nights | 36 or 12 hours per week – 18:45 to 07:15 (6:45 pm to 07:15 am) Our Team The Nursing Resources team works closely together in a cohesive environment and works alongside charge nurses and leaders to assign staff and patients to appropriate units to ensure the best patient care. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice or a multi‑state compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS). 2–5 years of acute care experience. Preferred Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Advanced Life Support (ACLS). Backgrounds in Emergency (ER) or Critical Care (ICU) are preferred. Responsibilities Process incoming requests for transfers, direct admissions, and consultations from various referral sources. Utilize clinical expertise to assess patient acuity and urgency, recommending the necessary level of care and mode of transportation (ground or air). Collaborate with house supervisors and nursing units to assign beds based on current facility capacity and service capabilities. Facilitate physician‑to‑physician and nurse‑to‑nurse reports, acting as a clinical air traffic controller between sending and receiving teams. Ensure all transfers adhere to EMTALA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards. Accurately record all tasks, conversations, and medical information into electronic health records (EHR) and transfer tracking software. Benefits Health, vision, dental insurance.
