Maintenance Mechanic - Level 4

As an R&O Maintenance Technicianhere at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations. You will report directly to our Maintenance Manager, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location. In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice Advanced Materials by ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including but not limited to the following: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan Offering insight and improvements to those practices back to your planners, engineers and operations teams Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations Lead assistants in assembling GF2 Cells and associated sub-assemblies. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems and implement effective repair solutions Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of machinery Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE 3+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field. 2+ Years of experience in GF2 Process area In-depth understanding of the plant site Ability to diagnose Equipment failures in your respective areas Proficient understanding of GF2 Process Ability to assess and troubleshoot cells, cell positions, line work and valving Proficient Knowledge of mechanical systems. Proficient understanding of GF2 Electrical Systems Familiarity with maintenance management systems and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. COMPENSATION The annual base pay range for this position is $69,321 to $86,703. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
