Automotive Body Technician

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Body Technician to join Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMCs team in Center Line, Michigan. As an Automotive Body Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and installation work on cars, trucks, and SUVs. You will partner with the dealerships service team to repair and restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This position offers competitive compensation and generous benefits including medical, vacation, and 401(k) retirement plan. A 5 day work week. The salary range is $50,000-$110,000 per year, paid weekly.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and company policies
• Perform repair and installation of major and soft parts of vehicles
• Accurately diagnose customers needs and determine adequate repair techniques
• Use industry standard tools and equipment to repair vehicles
• Utilize techniques such as welding, measuring, grinding, sanding, and rooting
• Exercise creativity to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition
• Clearly communicate with management and other technicians
• Perform all duties with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Adhere to strict quality and performance standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Automotive Body Technician certification or equivalent
• Current experience in the auto industry
• In-depth knowledge of vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid drivers license and a good driving record
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills
