We are seeking an Advanced Production Quality Planning Engineer who will design and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. This role involves designing machine arrangements within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layouts, specifying procedures for fabricating tools and equipment, and adapting machine designs to factory and production conditions. The engineer may also incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan and inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, initiating corrective actions to maintain product quality.
Responsibilities
Design and optimize manufacturing processes and production layouts for assemblies and equipment installation.
Develop and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment.
Adapt machine and equipment designs to factory and production conditions.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective actions.
Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
Provide guidance to engineering teams regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
Ensure compliance with regulations in all processes and procedures.
Essential Skills
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Experience with AS9145 standards.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Approximately 11+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9+ years with a Master's degree.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC), process validation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with production readiness reviews, risk mitigation, and quality system requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $120.00/hr.
