Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a General Manager-Grocer on behalf of a well-established food products and distribution organization. This is an exciting direct-hire leadership opportunity for a hands-on operational leader to oversee branch performance, sales, warehouse and transportation operations, and overall business execution within a fast-paced distribution environment. POSITION OVERVIEW
The General Manager- Grocer will oversee all branch operations, including sales, warehouse, transportation, customer service, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, managing branch financials, developing leadership teams, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the branch meets or exceeds organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a highly engaged leader who thrives in a dynamic operational environment and brings strong business acumen, people leadership, and operational oversight experience. PERKS

• Direct and oversee all branch operations including sales, warehouse, transportation, and administration
• Manage branch performance against operational and financial goals while implementing strategies for continued growth
• Develop operational plans and workflows to optimize facilities, staffing, and equipment utilization
• Maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts and support customer satisfaction initiatives
• Partner with corporate leadership teams to execute company strategies and operational objectives
• Lead, coach, and develop branch personnel while fostering accountability and team performance
• Monitor sales performance, operational metrics, and overall branch productivity
• Support hiring, employee development, performance management, and succession planning efforts
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with Human Resources and union representatives as applicable regarding workforce management and labor relations QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience
• 5+ years of branch management, operations management, or multi-functional leadership experience
• Strong background overseeing sales, warehouse, transportation, or distribution operations
• Proven experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, and branch performance metrics
• Experience leading cross-functional teams within fast-paced operational environments
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational leadership skills
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and maintain high service standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and operational reporting tools COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
