Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital position requiring cardiac catheterization skills and on-call availability. Requirements Active VA or compact RN license (in hand or pending, with emergency authorization available while permanent license processes) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCI RCIS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3+ years preferred Prior charge nurse experience preferred 1:1 patient ratio experience required Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip Scrub experience required Proficient in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols Experience in diagnostic/interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management Skilled in end-tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT monitoring, cardioversion, circulating procedures, and infection prevention Experience administering antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation Experience starting and maintaining IVs and assisting with central line insertion/management Responsibilities Work in a high-volume Cath Lab with 6 procedure rooms and a daily census of 15-20 adult patients Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closures Perform advanced procedures such as TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, and renal denervation Utilize equipment including IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:30am-6:00pm Epic charting system required On-call requirement of 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6-week period, including one full weekend (Fri-Sun) and one Saturday for elective cases Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called for on-call shifts Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract Support a multidisciplinary cardiac care team within a facility offering adjacent cardiac surgery and hybrid ORs Work in a nationally recognized cardiac cath lab with American College of Cardiology accreditation for PCI procedures Facility is an acute care teaching hospital with over 700 licensed beds, Level I Trauma Center designation, Magnet recognition, and certified stroke center status First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the application Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-751971 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
