Residential Security Officer

Location: 175 Temple St, Newton, MA 02465
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Part-Time)
Shift: Mid-shift | 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 hourly

Signal of New England is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing exceptional customer service.

Job Description:

As a Dedicated Security Officer, you will be assigned to a single client location where you'll conduct proactive foot patrols, monitor property conditions, assist visitors, and help prevent security incidents through a visible and professional presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the property, including stairwells and common areas.
Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
Monitor the property for safety hazards, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns.
Control access to the property and enforce client policies professionally and respectfully.
Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
Prepare accurate, detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, coworkers, and emergency responders.
Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Ensure all entrances, exits, gates, and access points remain secure throughout the shift.

Requirements:

Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong observational and communication skills
Comfortable addressing individuals and setting boundaries professionally
