Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details

Inpatient acute care setting covering mid-level critical care, medical-surgical, and orthopedic floors, with occasional inpatient rehab evaluations and treatments
Primary focus (90%) on inpatient rehab unit within the hospital, with 10% on ortho and medical-surgical floors
Part of a 6-person PT team on weekdays, with 1-3 PTs covering weekends
Assignment includes a scheduled relocation between two facility locations during the contract
Schedule is primarily 8-5 Monday through Friday with potential negotiable shifts (4x10s or 5x8s) between 7:30am-6:00pm
Possible weekend coverage planned in advance during part of the assignment
Second half of assignment involves being the sole PT on-site at the smaller location
Expected caseload of 4 patients per 8-hour shift in the inpatient rehab unit, with documentation completed within shift hours
Unit productivity target of 22 units per 8-hour day

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy experience required
BLS certification required
Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
License required if applicable
Must be able to work efficiently and independently without extensive onboarding support
Experience in inpatient acute care, including critical care, medical-surgical, and orthopedic patient populations
Comfort working in inpatient rehab facility (IRF) settings
Additional Information

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across multiple units, including inpatient rehab, orthopedics, and medical-surgical floors
Works alongside a collaborative team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs
Standard PT documentation requirements apply within 8-hour shifts
Not suited for new graduates; candidates should be able to work independently with minimal guidance
