Dental Hygienist (PT/FT)

Dental Hygienist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist, with a patient centered focus, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A base hourly rate with a variable compensation component is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Assess patients' oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Denticon for patient management and record keeping.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Assist in the management of the dental office environment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Conduct documentation reviews to ensure all patient information is up-to-date and accurate.
• Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Experience

• A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
• Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health is essential.
• Experience with dental assisting tasks is a plus, enhancing overall patient care capabilities.
