Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, ensuring the safety and well-being of mother and baby. Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor fetal and maternal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, including labor analgesics and postpartum treatments.
• Interpret fetal monitoring data and intervene as needed to ensure fetal safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards to ensure patient well-being.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Labor and Delivery certification.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Have current certifications in NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, and BLS.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner or similar Electronic Medical Records systems.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts, with flexibility for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Provide the start date, RTO, birthdate, and SSN upon application.
