Overview Emory John's Creek Hospital (EJCH) is seeking to hire Anesthetists – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) – to become a vital part of Emory Healthcare’s integrated academic healthcare system. Work Hours and Schedule Full Time with Call, Rotating Schedule 8, 10 or 12‑hour shifts Post Call Day off Work Location Emory Johns Creek Hospital (EJCH), 6325 Hospital Pkwy, Johns Creek, GA 30097. Responsibilities Assist in the administration of general and regional anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist. Perform initial acute cardiopulmonary resuscitation in life‑threatening situations or as directed by a physician; instruct others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological status; assist the anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre‑operative data. Assist in research projects as carried out by an anesthesiologist. Establish multi‑parameter monitoring of patients prior to, during, and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations, including ECG, direct arterial pressure, central venous pressure, arterial blood gas determinations, hematocrits, and routine measurement of temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate. Establish other monitoring as may be developed for anesthesia and intensive care use. Manage pre‑ and post‑anesthetic care, including ventilator management/support and other respiratory care parameters as assigned/directed by an anesthesiologist. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master’s Degree program. Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Georgia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). Must maintain biannual certification through submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs). BLS, ACLS, PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Physical Requirements Medium‑Heavy; 36–75 lbs. (0–33% of the workday occasionally); 20–35 lbs. (34–66% of the workday frequently); 10–20 lbs. (67–100% of the workday constantly); lifting up to 75 lbs. max; carrying of objects up to 35 lbs.; occasional to frequent standing & walking; occasional sitting; close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and tasks.
