Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician in Joplin, Missouri - Call Only, Flexible Coverage

Help provide supplemental cardiothoracic surgery coverage through call-only shifts while sharing coverage with other locums. This opportunity offers flexibility with multiple providers supporting the schedule.

• Call-only assignment

• Adult inpatient and outpatient practice
• Multiple providers utilized for scheduling flexibility

Practice & Cases

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage admissions without resident or advanced practice provider supervision
• Perform general cardiothoracic surgery, CABG, valve procedures, and thoracic cases
• Structural heart, device management, bronchoscopy, and ICU-based procedures are preferred

Schedule

• 24-hour beeper call shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Approximately 20 call shifts available per month
• 20-minute response time required
• Coverage shared among multiple locum physicians

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery
• Active Missouri medical license required
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are provided
• Travel accommodations are coordinated for the assignment
