Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in operating saws and forklifts. The role involves handling and cutting steel using a band saw, operating a sit-down forklift, and performing visual quality control checks. Candidates must be proficient in reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws and perform steel cutting tasks.
• Utilize a sit-down forklift to transport materials safely.
• Conduct visual quality control inspections.
• Read and apply measurements accurately using a tape measure.
• Ensure processing equipment is maintained in safe and clean condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly processing area.
• Accurately complete all required information entries.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with machine operation in metal fabrication or aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in operating band saws and forklifts.
• Capability to read tape measures accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attendance and work history with a focus on tenure.
• Attention to detail and ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Good organizational skills with paperwork and chain of custody.

Work Environment

Join a fast-paced, large raw material supplier facility where we store, cut, and ship materials to customers. Our team consists of over 60 employees working on the floor. We offer comprehensive training, starting with classroom sessions followed by on-the-job training with an experienced trainer. Our facility operates multiple shifts with specific working hours to accommodate different schedules.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
