Growing together.The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.This position covers the emergency department, admitting, switchboard, and information desk areas, in a variety of shifts.This position is per diem. Employees are required to have flexibility to work 2 shifts per pay period, 1 weekend per calendar month, 2 holidays per year.Locations:Heart & Vascular Center (primary location for the Heart & Vascular clinics) - 725 American Ave., Waukesha, WI, 53188 (main site)Heart and Vascular - Mukwonago - 240 Maple Ave., Mukwonago, WI, 53149Heart and Vascular - Oconomowoc - 1185 Corporate Center Drive, Oconomowoc, WI, 53066Sleep Center - 2301 Sun Valley Drive, Delafield, WI 53018Pulmonology - Waukesha Memorial Hospital - 721 American Ave, Waukesha, WI 53188Primary Responsibilities:Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait timeComplete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesProcess walk-in patients and visitorsAnswers phones and schedules, appointments and proceduresManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
