Details Surgical Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement Supports specialized structural heart patients including LVAD and TAVR cases Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Patient ratio of 1:4, increasing to 1:5 at midnight Every other weekend required Floating required to like units, including sister facilities within the region Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years surgical telemetry experience required, including open-heart and vascular (groin/radial band management) Prior travel nursing experience required Proficiency with IV therapy, central line care, and PICC line management required Experience with blood and blood product administration required Epic EMR experience required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Two supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last 3 years required Additional Information Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardioversion/defibrillation, and epicardial pacer management Provide post-op care for open-heart and LVAD patients 24-28 hours post-surgery Administer breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, and trach care Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius Former Providence system permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month separation and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred American Traveler Job ID P-747983.
