Description

The Assistant Project Manager position is a full-time role based in Bethlehem, PA. This position supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The role may also include traveling to different project sites throughout the Lehigh Valley to track on-site progress. You will gain hands-on experience managing a diverse list of commercial projects ranging from $200,000 renovations to over $4,000,000 builds with multiple new and exciting projects on the horizon.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination.
• Tracking materials, equipment deliveries, and logistics.
• Helping manage and process RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and logs.
• Supporting on-site inspections, safety compliance, and quality control efforts.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders to keep project milestones on track.
• Collaborating closely with site supervisors and office staff to ensure safe, efficient execution.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (based on experience)

Experience:

• Relevant experience in commercial construction or a related field (e.g., project coordination, estimating, or field engineering).
• Basic understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and Owner communication.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Plangrid, Bluebeam, or similar), spreadsheets, and digital documentation tools.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and basic building codes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently collaborate with field teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting deadlines.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline is beneficial but not required.
• A strong commitment to safety practices, reliability, and continuous professional development.
