As a Lead Service Technician, you will work at one of our beautiful communities and represent Mark-Taylor through the delivery of exceptional customer service while contributing to the upkeep of the physical asset and community grounds. You're Excited About This Role Because You Will Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs. Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available. Perform daily pool care, ensure the pool is in proper chemical balance, and the area is free of safety concerns. Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys. Inspect the property for safety hazards, correct them, and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of any hazards. Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members, and be readily available to go to the property if needed, in uniform/badge. Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies. Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians. We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring: Advanced knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA standards. One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar). Service orientation. Basic computer skills. 2 or more years experience as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable. A basic understanding of written and verbal English.
