Dietary Aides play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that cater to their individual dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Their responsibilities encompass meal preparation, dietary monitoring, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to promote the health and well-being of residents. Responsibilities: Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items Requirements / Qualifications: Dietary aides must be detail-oriented to ensure that meals are prepared according to specific dietary guidelines. Strong verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and other staff members. The role often requires standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying food trays.
