Project Manager, Marine SystemsSea Machines is a fast-growing startup specializing in autonomous technology for marine vessels. We're applying practical A.I. to disrupt the massive marine and maritime transportation market. Our tech provides ships and workboats the intelligence to operate autonomously and remotely, and which increases safety for maritime crews, and radically improves operator productivity.We are seeking a Project Manager, Marine Systems to take on the responsibility for the planning, execution, and completion of unique and often complex customer projects that go beyond the scope of our normal product sale operations. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure that projects are delivered correctly, on time, within scope, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Strategy: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Define project scope and goals in collaboration with stakeholders. Identify and allocate resources needed for project success.Project Leadership and Execution: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion. Oversee daily project operations and ensure alignment with the overall strategy. Work with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.Resource and Budget Management: Manage project budgets and track expenses. Allocate resources effectively and efficiently. Ensure the project stays within financial constraints.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, including status reports and performance metrics. Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project status and objectives. Maintain clear and open communication with team members and stakeholders.Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Implement and monitor quality control processes.Project Closure: Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned. Ensure all project documentation is completed and archived. Deliver final project reports and presentations to stakeholders.Qualifications and Skills RequiredBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field.7+ years of experience in project management, project engineering, application engineering, field engineering, or similar.5+ years of experience in marine, maritime, naval or offshore industriesPractical sense of marine, mechanical, and electronic components and their workings.Known to be self-motivated, proactive, with no fear of new things, people, or places.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.A desire to work under pressure and with ability to adapt to changing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.Experienced and comfortable with regular travel, both domestic and international.PMP or other relevant project management certification is a nice-to-have.US citizenJob Type: Full-time, hybrid in-office position in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment with flexibility outside standard business hours to support deployments or critical operations.
