Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off (14 & 14 rotation)
Shift: 12-hour days
Start Date: October 2026
Duration: Approximately 15 months

Position Overview:

Rite Projects USA Inc. is hiring an experienced Field Welding Supervisor / Project Supervisor to manage Rite's day-to-day field scope on a utility transmission construction project in Nebraska. This is a hands-on field leadership role requiring a strong structural welding background and previous experience supervising welding crews on active field construction sites. The position will supervise mobile welding crews, including Structural Field Welders and Welder Helpers / Fire Watch personnel, and serve as Rite's primary field representative for daily execution. The supervisor will be responsible for safe, organized, and productive work, including crew coordination, project scheduling, equipment and material readiness, documentation, and coordination with the prime contractor and project representatives.

Scope of Work: The supervisor will be responsible for:

Direct daily work activities, crew assignments, work locations, and priorities for Rite's welding crews.

Coordinate work sequencing, site access, materials, inspections, and daily priorities with the prime contractor and other project representatives.

Lead and document daily tailboards / hazard assessments and participate in pre-job, Take One, safety, quality, and planning meetings as required.

Ensure work is performed in accordance with current approved drawings, welding procedures, project specifications, and applicable safety, quality, environmental, and hot-work requirements.

Confirm welders and helpers / fire watch personnel are properly qualified, trained, equipped, and assigned work within their responsibilities.

Coordinate preheat, fire-prevention measures, weld tracking, inspection access, repair activities, and completion of required quality and production records.

Track daily production, labor hours, equipment use, delays, deficiencies, and field issues; complete required timekeeping and daily reports.

Manage welding trucks, tools, consumables, fuel, maintenance, repairs, and other field resources required to keep crews productive.

Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions, quality concerns, environmental restrictions, fire risk, spills, access issues, or changing site conditions; stop or escalate work when required.

Maintain effective communication with Rite management and the prime contractor regarding schedule, manpower, equipment, production, quality, safety, and any issues affecting Rite's scope.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of structural or industrial field welding experience, including previous responsibility for supervising welders and welding support personnel on active construction field sites. Field welding supervisory experience is required.

Strong structural welding background with working knowledge of AWS D1.1 requirements, including the ability to read drawings, weld symbols, welding procedure specifications, and understand field welding quality requirements.

Demonstrated ability to plan work, supervise field crews, manage changing priorities, and maintain production while meeting safety and quality requirements.

Strong safety leadership and experience with tailboards / JSAs, hazard assessments, hot-work controls, PPE, incident reporting, and field inspections.

Good communication, recordkeeping, and organizational skills, including the ability to complete daily reports, timekeeping, production tracking, and project documentation.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel between field work locations and work 12-hour outdoor shifts in changing weather and site conditions.

Ability to meet site-access, drug and alcohol testing, and U.S. work authorization requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous transmission-line, utility, helical-pile foundation, structural steel, bridge, or heavy civil welding experience.

Experience supervising multiple mobile field crews and coordinating daily production across changing work locations.

Experience coordinating with client / prime-contractor supervision, inspectors, safety personnel, and environmental representatives.

AWS CWI or other welding inspection / quality experience is an asset but is not required for the position.

OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, HazCom, hot-work / fire-watch, or supervisory safety training is an asset.

Compensation: $45.00-$50.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Per diem, travel support, or lodging arrangements will be available for qualified applicants.
