Technical Project Manager - Infrastructure

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager - Infrastructure for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will take the time to understand what is driving your project, why it needs to happen, and by when it needs to be completed. You will establish realistic timelines and get commitment from key project team members on delivery. The successful candidate actively facilitates technical discussions, communicates issues to management, and adapts to the impact of issues on the project timeline, making recommendations as needed. This role involves maintaining a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with dependencies, ownership, and committed task durations.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and manage multiple infrastructure projects
• Take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering defined project deliverables, which usually requires engagement from multiple teams
• Communicate work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, ensure compliance to standards, and provide end-to-end visibility into the health of deliverables
• Lead complex projects and/or programs
• Identify project stakeholders and build collaborative relationships with technical, operations, and business partners
• Establish meetings at the appropriate frequency to review scope of work progress and remaining tasks
• Ensure project objectives and goals are clearly understood to minimize scope creep
• Maintain a WBS (Project Plan) to track tasks, dates, and dependencies
• Facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery
• Identify issues and risks and understand how they will impact project deliverables and due dates

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure project management
• 2+ years of experience with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with midrange server and/or network infrastructure project delivery
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
• Experience with Infrastructure Integration and Linux
• Ability to understand a project's overall purpose and scope of work

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Jira in management of projects through Deliverables/Epics/Stories and cross-dependencies
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodology environments
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for all levels in the organization
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible to assist team members as needed

Pay range: $56.63 - $64.63 per hour
