Breakfast Support Staff

Position Summary

Acting as the vital connection between the dining room and kitchen, they move through service with attentiveness, precision, and genuine hospitality — anticipating the needs of guests, servers, and bartenders before they arise.

Whether maintaining the beauty and flow of the space, supporting tables with care and efficiency, or running food during pivotal moments of service, the support team helps set the rhythm of the restaurant each night. Job Responsibilities

• Set and maintain tables with polished silverware and spotless glassware.
• Mark tables between courses with the appropriate flatware and service pieces, including steak knives, oyster forks, dessert spoons, and other specialty items.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently and at appropriate moments throughout service.
• Run food accurately and confidently, using proper drop lines for every dish. Maintain a strong understanding of menu items and allergy awareness.
• Demonstrate full floor knowledge, including table numbers and seat positions.
• Complete side work duties including, but not limited to, polishing silverware and glassware, resetting tables, organizing sanitation stations, sweeping, and spot detailing.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked server stations throughout service.
• Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
• Support servers and bartenders by assisting with beverage and food service.
• Deliver room service according to SOP standards in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate clearly and contribute to active problem-solving during service.
• Remain attentive to guests’ needs, anticipating opportunities to clear tables, refresh water, and enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with the kitchen team to support the pacing, timing, and accuracy of service.

Requirements and Skills

• Must be available for early morning shifts, including weekends and brunch service.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and fully prepared for AM opening responsibilities.
• Must be able to work on your feet for up to 8 plus hours in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Must have at least 1 year of prior restaurant experience.
• Must be comfortable executing full opening side work and station setup independently.
• Must be proactive in anticipating service needs before doors open.
• Must have basic coffee knowledge, including espresso drinks, proper preparation, and service standards.
• Must remain attentive, calm, and efficient during high-volume morning periods.
