Job Summary

Join our dedicated team in Aberdeen, Washington, a vibrant community located near the scenic Pacific Northwest beaches and the Olympic National Forest. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment.

This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic emergency setting, managing diverse patient acuities, and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting.
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and emergency interventions.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic imaging.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
• Approved 6-hour suicide training.
• Verification of demographics from Nursys.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record (EHR) system.

Shift Details

• Assignment Dates: August 10, 2026, for 13 weeks.
• Shift Type: Nights (NOC).
• Hours: 18:30 - 07:00 (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Duration: 12-hour shifts.
• Days per week: 3 days per week (36 hours).
• Call Requirements: Not specified.
• Weekend Rotations: Not specified.
• Opportunity to pick up additional shifts.
• All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be pre-approved and will be added to the end of the contract. Full availability for scheduling is required.

Licensing Requirements

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or a compact multi-state RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
