Freight Forwarder Assistant

Overview DSV - Global transport and logistics A Freight Forwarder Assistant provides support to the freight forwarding team, including assisting with documentation, data entry, customer service, and general administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists Enter shipment data into computer systems and ensure accurate record-keeping Coordinate and track shipments by communicating with customers, carriers, and other third-party service providers Provide administrative support to the freight forwarding team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and filing documents Assist with billing and invoicing processes Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws, including customs and trade regulations Qualifications Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred Experience in air exports is highly desirable Skills & Competencies Mathematical skills for basic calculations of costs and rates Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Knowledge & Process Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations Understanding of trade laws and regulations Language & Computer Literacy Fluency in English is required Knowledge of additional languages is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred Employment Terms At Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees. Compensation & Benefits For this position, the expected base pay range is $20.50- $27.50 / Hourly per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
