Overview Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices - Automotive Mechanics — Join our team as a full-time Automotive Mechanic at our service centers in the Marshall, TX area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks). Complete state-mandated inspections. Change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts. Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Assist with on-the-job training and pursue opportunities for career growth within the company. Qualifications 18 years of age or older; legally authorized to work in the United States. 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs. Preferred: state inspection license(s); ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements; regularly lifting and/or moving items weighing over 50 pounds.
