Veterinary Surgery Technician Position Available at Kingstowne Cat Clinic!

Join our team at Kingstowne Cat Clinic, a feline-only veterinary practice in South Alexandria, as a full-time Veterinary Surgery Technician. We offer competitive pay starting at $30.00 per hour and a range of benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and pet health care discounts. As a Veterinary Surgery Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our doctors during appointments, surgical preparation and monitoring, dental procedures, and patient care. Client interaction is also a key part of the role, including discharging patients and addressing client inquiries. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have their own transportation, and most importantly, must love cats!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assisting doctors during appointments
• Performing patient restraint
• Preparing and monitoring surgical procedures
• Conducting dental prophylaxis and taking digital dental x-rays
• Placing IV catheters and monitoring anesthesia
• Performing in-house lab work
• Client interaction for patient discharge and inquiries

Required Skills:

• Experience in veterinary clinic surgery
• Ability to place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia
• Proficiency in in-house lab work
• Excellent client communication skills
• Reliable and professional demeanor

Company Information:

Kingstowne Cat Clinic is a feline-only cat clinic specializing in feline medicine and surgery. We do not offer boarding and are closed on weekends. Our facility also provides I-131 treatment for hyperthyroid cats.

Salary and Benefits:
