Automotive Senior Technician

Position Summary Senior Technician – Diagnose drivability and electrical systems while guiding a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Pay Range: $24.72 - $37.61 per hour. The role is compensated on a flat‑rate, performance‑based model. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automotive systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non‑mechanical individuals. Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training. Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities. Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of the A1–A8 categories within the first two years of employment. Minimum Qualifications Valid automobile driver’s license at all times; ability to drive customer and company vehicles. Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics or steering & suspension and alignments. Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair. Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable. Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people. Reading, writing, and math skills. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of automotive repair experience. Demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications. Completion of a Vocational‑Technical School program.
