Job Summary:

Seeking for a Network/Telecom Specialist supporting mission-critical emergency communications infrastructure. You'll be an essential part of ensuring the reliability and performance of our statewide Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet) and NG911 systems.

• Monitor ESInet and NG911 systems 24/7 to detect outages, alarms, or performance issues.
• Serve as the first point of contact for PSAPs experiencing technical problems or service interruptions.
• Receive, triage, document, and track support tickets through resolution.
• Troubleshoot network, telecom, and connectivity issues affecting 911 operations.
• Communicate with 911 Directors, telecommunications carriers, service providers, and internal teams regarding outages and maintenance.
• Escalate complex incidents to Tier II technicians or additional vendors as needed.
• Maintain documentation, ticket narration, and operational logs in Salesforce.
• Support operational continuity during emergencies and disaster response situations.
• Monitor network security, system health, and telecommunications performance.
• Coordinate reroutes or alternate communications paths during outages or call surges.
• Provide customer-service-focused support to PSAP personnel.

Skills Required:

• Excellent understanding of technologies, operating systems, networking, anti-virus, back-ups, systems firewalls, and switches. (3 Years)
• Knowledge of vendor products such as Juniper, VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco. (3 Years)
• Strong writing skills to maintain organized documentation. (3 Years)
• Knowledge of network cabling, network classification, and network topology. (3 Years)

Desired Experience:

• Experience with VOIP technologies. (3 Years)
• Experience in a NOC environment. (3 Years)
