Description:
This unit has 6 private beds and is a high acuity step-down, low acuity ICU unit.
This unit is currently designated for COVID patients.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 2.
The charting system used is TruBridge - Evident.
Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM.
The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend.
Holidays are generally not required for travel staff, depending on the schedule and permanent staff availability.
The required scrub color is royal blue.
The nurse will be expected to float to a Tele-MedSurg unit.
One shift of floor orientation will be provided.
Common diagnoses and types of patients include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical patients, and respiratory issues.
PPE supplies have been adequate, with N95 masks being used for 24 hours before disposal.
The nurse will be expected to take an ECG exam on the first day.
Travel staff may cancel one week's worth of guaranteed hours over the contract period.
