You are here: Home | Search for a Job Back To Search Results Location and Job Title: After School Program Director Hebrew Educational Society 9502 Seaview Ave Brooklyn, NY 11236 Principal Responsibilities: Position Summary The Program Director serves as the onsite supervisor of the DYCD COMPASS Elementary program with overall responsibility for program implementation, including the hiring, supervision, and development of program staff. The Program Director ensures the program operates in full compliance with DYCD, SACC, and H.E.S. standards and serves as the primary liaison between the program, the host school, families, and DYCD. Responsibilities: Provide onsite supervision and oversight of all COMPASS program operations during program hours Hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate program staff in accordance with DYCD staffing requirements Ensure DYCD required staff-to-student ratios are maintained at all times, including during activities, transitions, arrival, and dismissal (Grades K-5: 1:10) Oversee program compliance with the SACC license, health and safety protocols, and all contractual obligations Serve as the primary point of contact for the host school, families, DYCD Program Manager, and community partners Support the planning and delivery of high-quality enrichment, academic, and recreational activities? Ensure staff complete required professional development hours (COMPASS Elementary: 129 hours per year) Hold regular team meetings and attend DYCD lead sessions Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience 1 year of Supervisor experience Full-time position Monday through Friday from 10:00AM - 6:00PM Holiday Programming Must be onsite during all program hours Salary: $70000 Agency Information: The Hebrew Educational Society, a thriving multi-service, comprehensive community center located in southeast Brooklyn, provides a diverse array of programs and services within a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment that is inclusive of people of all ages and ability levels.
