Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary The Senior Software Engineer will provide senior engineering development and leadership on Shared Services products development, enhancement, implementation projects, and maintenance/support needs. The role leads a diverse technical team to ensure the successful and timely implementation of Scientific Games Shared Services products along with related services. Responsibilities Manage and lead the delivery of new product features, implementations, integrations to SGI and third parties, maintenance, and other technical projects. Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure applications meet business needs and SGI’s SLAs. Coordinate the establishment and execution of product development and architectural roadmaps that align with the company’s overall vision. Ensure delivery of quality work with clear, well-commented code scheduled in accordance with technical design and product requirements. Adhere to Scientific Games’ and industry security standards. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge on new programming methods and technologies to anticipate and accommodate future changes driven by business and technical growth. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years programming experience with the Microsoft .NET Framework. Working knowledge of .NET 7+. Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (developer focused). Working knowledge of Entity Framework. Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or a similar framework. Experience writing and maintaining WCF services in both IIS‑hosted and self‑hosted environments. Experience designing and developing RESTful services using Microsoft’s WebAPI. Experience building and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET MVC, React, and Angular. Working knowledge of GitHub and Git for source control and collaboration. Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, XML, Web Services, and SQL Server. Strong expertise in SQL Server design and development patterns, including SSRS, stored procedures, views, and complex T‑SQL. Working knowledge of MySQL 5.5+. Experience building and operating software in the cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). AWS preferred. Experience with B2B web services integrations. Experience in customer interaction and requirements analysis. Experience in software design and architecture best practices. Demonstrated commitment to technical development through continuing education and professional certifications is a plus. Experience working with offshore resources is a plus. Travel Requirements Up to 20% travel.
